Whether your involvement with the breed includes a promising young puppy, a respected veteran, a Junior Handler, or a thoughtfully planned breeding program, we are pleased you are here. Our regional Dachshund Club brings together individuals who share a deep commitment to the preservation, advancement, and responsible stewardship of this remarkable breed.

We are more than an association—we are a collective of breeders, owners, and enthusiasts dedicated to maintaining breed integrity through education, collaboration, and adherence to established CKC standards. Throughout the year, the club offers opportunities for continued learning and engagement, including educational seminars, specialty conformation events, performance and sporting activities, and informed discussion on breed‑specific topics relevant to today’s Dachshund community.

Membership provides a forum to exchange knowledge, mentor and be mentored, and connect with others who value sound structure, temperament, health, and ethical breeding practices. Whether you are an established breeder, an active exhibitor, a junior, or an owner seeking deeper involvement in the breed, you will find a knowledgeable and supportive network here.

We welcome all Dachshund varieties and all levels of experience, united by a shared goal: to protect and promote the future of the breed. We invite you to join us and contribute to a community grounded in respect, responsibility, and dedication to the Dachshund.

Types of Memberships

Regular (Individual) Membership ($20.00):

  • Individuals over 18 years of age. 
  • Enjoy all the benefits of a full membership including voting and holding a leadership position.
  • Special provision: Individuals who are not Canadian residents shall be entitled to all Club privileges with the exception of voting and holding an office position.

Household (Family) Membership($30.00):

  • Two (2) adult members residing in the same household, each considered a Regular Member.
  • Enjoy all the benefits of a full membership including voting and holding a leadership position.
  • Special provision: Individuals who are not Canadian residents shall be entitled to all Club privileges with the exception of voting and holding an office position.

Junior Membership($0.00):

  • Open to children under the age of 18 years of age and above the age of eight (8)  years of age.
  • Can automatically convert to a regular membership at the age of 18 years of age.
  • This does not allow for voting or holding an office position.
  • There are no dues.  

Lifetime Member ($0.00):

  • Awarded by the PDC Board after receiving a nomination among the membership on a significant club contribution and dachshund breed.
  • Enjoy all the benefits of a full membership including voting and holding an office position.
  • Individuals are exempt from membership dues.
